Paul Jackson is a graduate of the Chelsea College of Art and Design London, England where he completed his MA in Fine Arts, previously completing his undergraduate studies at the Alberta College of Art + Design, Calgary, Canada. Upon graduation of his MA degree in 2004 he was named one of London’s top 25 new artists by Art Review Magazine and was featured in The Independent newspaper’s Sunday Arts section with fellow accomplished London fine arts graduate students. He has taught at the Alberta College of Art + Design in the sculpture, photography and drawing programs and has completed residencies at The Banff Centre for the Arts. Along with artist Robin Arseneault, Jackson has recently been awarded the Alberta Foundation for the Arts / Art Gallery of Alberta sculpture commission. This installation entitled Hunting Blind was installed at the AGA in the summer of 2011. Jackson has recently exhibitited at the Art Gallery of Alberta and Paul Kuhn Gallery, Calgary, where he is currently represented. Jackson has exhibited internationally, including Canada, USA, and the UK. He currently resides in Vancouver, Canada.
